Fee Earner Profile - Gayle Harrison

Gayle Harrison is an experienced solicitor and who has many years of experience in dealing with high level serious criminal litigation.

Most recently her practice has concentrated on the preparation and conduct of general commercial fraud work. Regularly receiving instructions by reputation in the Defence of such matters, Gayle has also been instructed on others matters including offences of cheating the Revenue, evasion of excise duty, conspiracy to defraud and money laundering offences.

Gayle has also developed a strong reputation in respect of confiscation proceedings which at times can be quite complicated and complex and has held a number of instructions simply dealing with that aspect.


Selection of Recent Cases:-

R -V- B - Acted for a client charged with a large scale money laundering operation, involving a number of defendants in a multi million pound operation. Case resolved to the defendants favour.

R-V- D - Acted for a client charged with Conspiracy to Defraud which involved a number of defendants. Client was acquitted of all allegations.

R -V- Z - Acted for a client involved in a multi million pound money laundering matter. The Prosecuting authority in the Confiscation proceedings were seeking the sum of £220 million, which we successfully negotiated via forensic accountancy experts to £12 million.

R V K - Successfully defended a client involved with one other on a money laundering charge, defendant acquitted following trial.

R V R - Successfully represented client prosecuted for benefit fraud, where proceedings were withdrawn following negotiations with the prosecuting authority who accepted an Administrative Penalty.

R V G - Bankruptcy case involving 30 million, following extensive litigation the bankruptcy order was successfully set aside and the Applicant's costs awarded from the other party.
